High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and apply for membership to IATSE after 30 days of employment (if applicable). Must be able to work events, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedule. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong skills in most current and various theatrical and AV elements and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and professionally and possess strong interpersonal skills as they will be interacting directly with clients, production companies, exhibitors, contractors, and other users of our facilities. Work with other in-house unions & departments to insure the successful set up and installation of all AV & production needs. Lead part time crews in various duties directed by Foreperson, Production Manager, Event Coordinator or Event Manager. Planning of technical portions of events. Setup, operate, and dismantle various kinds of theatrical equipment to include sound, lighting, special effects, projections and video, audio and pyrotechnics. Hang drape, signs, sound, lights and other theatrical and meeting room equipment for events. Work will occur at both the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. POSITION SUMMARY : This position is a skilled, hourly position providing technical theatrical equipment set-up and tear down as well as support for events.
